Wiles Eye Center is Hiring an Ophthalmic Assistant Near Saint Joseph, MO

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as an Assistant. As an Assistant, you will provide support in various areas such as assisting the doctor in room (scribing), ophthalmology, medical office, medical terminology, and HIPAA compliance.

Responsibilities:
- assist the doctor (scribe)
- input information into the computer the doctor gives you
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and address their inquiries or concerns
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the office and examination rooms
- Assist with ophthalmology
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certification in a related field is a plus
- Previous experience in a medical office or optical setting preferred
- Strong knowledge of optometry or ophthalmology, patient care, aseptic technique, medical office procedures, medical terminology,
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members
- Detail-oriented mindset with strong organizational skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and efficiency

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
